Hello fellow sports fans and welcome to Sports Mama's unofficial coverage of great amateur sports in and around the greater New England area.
In particular I am covering the Suffolk University men's baseball team, some of the Lowell Catholic Baseball games, softball games and tennis matches. The MITRE Hawgs softball games, the Lowell youth soccer traveling team, the Bedford close to home Sirens women's soccer games, and the Lowell Highland Senior league Cardinals baseball team, to name a few.
As I said this is all unofficial and therefore means I do not work for any of the teams or organizations mentioned.
So with that said, do not bother them if you do not like what I have to say.
You are more than welcomed to let me know, but that does not mean I will listen.
On that note please don't complain to me either! I would love to hear your positive comments, but I am a very sensitive person and you really don't want to make me cry, do you?
With that said I will try to be as fair as I can in putting a lot of different pictures, comments and information on as many of the players as I can. But remember this website is called obnoxious parent for a reason! So if my kids' mugs show up a bit more, okay who am I kidding, a lot more than the other boys/girls of summer, I cannot help myself it's the obnoxious parent coming out!
If any of the parents, fans, friends or even the players themselves have any pictures, comments, stats, etc. they want to share, feel free to send them to me at: ordinarywoman@comcast.net
I will be checking my e-mail several times a day during the various seasons and I will post them as soon as I can. Note to parents-no baby blackmail pictures!
Remember my kid still has to go to school there and I do not want him to have to eat his lunch all alone!
If you would like to send out a "shout-out", for us older folks it's a greeting, to any of the players you can e mail those to me as well and I promise I will post as many of them as I can.
This coverage is to give these players some exposure in a venue where we can go into more detail about them as individuals, something that is sometimes not possible in other media i.e. newspapers, etc.
Plus it's a nice way to share the experiences with those loved ones that might not get a chance to be there in person. My intention is to make the coverage as positive as possible.
Any comments that are of a negative or derogatory nature towards any coaches, players, umps, schools, whatever, will not be posted and the sender will be blocked.
I just want to spread the love!
All kidding aside I want it to be a nice experience for everyone involved.
Lastly I have posted various links that might be useful. It will make it easier than trying to go to different websites to get the information. If anyone has other links that are not already on here, please feel free to send those along as well!
Now that we have all the housekeeping rules out of the way
Let's play ball!

Nice whacky following and written in good narrative style. Never know what's going to come next which make you want to read on. Well done and carry on.

First, I love the images here :). This is a great thing you're doing here and I'm looking forward to your coverage and content on the youth sports scene.
My little one is too young to play sports right now. Although he seems to have a great throwing arm in the works :)
